GFC OWNERSHIP ::

Ross Genovese is the Owner, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Member of Athlete Development Resources, Inc. and the Grassland Fitness Center, LLC Board of Advisors.



Ross attended The University of Mississippi in Oxford. Before transferring to Ole Miss, Ross was selected as a National Junior College Football All-American [Offensive Tackle] at Holmes Junior College in 1982.


After accepting a full athletic scholarship from The University of Mississippi, Ross was a member of the Rebel football team where he started at offensive tackle, offensive guard and center. Ross was named Player of the Game three times during his career for outstanding performance.


Following his senior season, Ross was chosen by The Memphis Showboats of the USFL. In the summer of 1986, the Showboats ceased operations, but Ross' player rights were picked up by the Los Angeles Express. Shortly after Ross was chosen by Los Angeles, the USFL lost a court battle with the NFL, and the USFL was forced to completely shut down the league. 

Ross was offered Free-Agent NFL contracts with The Atlanta Falcons, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and The New York Jets, but shoulder reconstruction surgery and Ross' desire to return to school to complete his education made for an easy decision to end his playing career.

Ross returned to Ole Miss and graduated in 1987, making the Dean's List in his final semester. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration, Ross worked for Ryder Distribution Resources in Nashville, Tennessee. From Ryder, Ross continued to work in the transportation industry for the next thirteen years.

Over his transportation career, Ross held Operations Management and Executive Level Positions. Ross Formulated personnel and operational procedures; revised, updated and distributed logistics standards for National Accounts (General Motors, Kraft General Foods, Johnson & Johnson and TJ Maxx). Ross also restored and organized cost avoidance plans, reduced operating expense and established quantifiable bench marks, many of which continue to be utilized. Ross Increased productivity by designing an OSI EvalReport that focused on maintaining human assets with counseling, training, communication and systematic problem solving.

Ross left The Transportation Industry in 2000 to start a Sports-Based Human Performance company called Athlete Development Resources (ADR). Ross operated ADR out of his home until the fall of 2007 and had on the roster over two hundred clients, many of whom were active in individual or group training programs.

In 2008, Ross opened the Grassland Fitness Center, a 3,000 square foot fitness facility that offers memberships and individualized fitness instruction. In addition to owning Athlete Development Resources, Inc and Grassland Fitness Center, LLC, Ross is also the Head Football Coach at Grassland Middle School in Franklin.

Ross served as the Strength and Conditioning coach for The Nashville Kats and has worked in a variety of capacities with The Nashville Predators (NHL) Vanderbilt University Football (SEC). Ross also continues to serve as a fitness consultant to several country music Artists and Executives.

Ross and his wife Tammy have two children (Nolan 15 and Callie 12). They live in Franklin and are members of Bethel World Outreach Center in Brentwood.
